PayPal employees have the opportunity to serve the needs of the communities in which they live and work through the company’s Community Impact Program. PayPal is able to drive positive, lasting impact towards its mission to advance inclusive economies by harnessing and deploying the unique skills and time of its employees. The Community Impact Teams help foster strong relationships between PayPal offices and their local communities through volunteering, grantmaking and other activities.
Each year, PayPal’s 41 employee-led Community Impact Teams around the world nominate local nonprofits to receive grants of up to US$20,000. Recently, more than 75 nonprofits were chosen to receive grants through the program. The nonprofits were voted on by members of our global workforce and support our priority areas of impact, including economic empowerment, financial health, environmental sustainability and social justice.
Community Impact Teams that participated in this year’s grantmaking program are located in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong SAR, China, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the UK, and the U.S. The nonprofits receiving 2021 Community Impact Grants in Hong Kong SAR and Singapore are:
