Meet Four Women Who Have Turned their Businesses into Passions
In celebration of International Women’

s Day on 08 March, we’re celebrating the #ladyboss, women who have followed their passions and taken risks to start their own businesses.  Pursuing their ideas to push out products and services they believe in, these ladies have inspired us with their innovation, creativity, and unique offerings.

1. Handmade Heroesby Lyndsey Lim

Founder Lynsey Lim quit her job as a bank officer and started Handmade Heroes back in 2013 and boy are we glad she did because we know many who swear by her cruelty-free certified scrubs and lip-balms. Lynsey travels all over the globe to source for natural ingredients for her products and yes, they are all handmade with love.

We love her ever-popular Beauty Warrior Face Masks, while her lip balms, made out of organic virgin coconut oil and cocoa butter have become handbag staples.

2. Perkby Kate Low

Founded in 2012 by former stylist Kate Low, Perk by Kate was birthed out of Kate’s desire to start a business of her own, and also of a personal obsession and need. Perk by Kate is an online lingerie shop that has an edge over the usual department store brands with its curated designs, and super personalized touch.

Kate includes a hand-written note in every package and the occasional surprise. One of the special things about Perk is that Kate hosts customers for fitting sessions over the weekend at her cosy minimalist abode in the North side of Singapore and has a “no questions asked” returns and exchanges policy. It is no wonder that many of her customers have turned into friends.
3. Spinacas by Phyllis Chua

Phyllis left her job as an architect to start Spinacas, a salad delivery business featuring meaty, hearty meals, following an inspired sabbatical in Spain. Passionate about health and fitness, Phyllis started small by making salads for her friends before the idea took off. She now zips around town in her red Vespa scooter, delivering and serving delicious protein-rich salads to offices around Singapore.
4. The Paper Bunny by Jaime Lee

The Paper Bunny is the brainchild of Jaime Lee, lawyer by day and entrepreneur on the side. We are not sure how she does it all not sure how she does it all but we are fans!

The Paper Bunny is the stationery shop of our dreams offering stylish and classy paper ware. There IS something for every occasion - like your best friend’s birthday, a wedding, or even a unique house-warming gift.
Even if you are not into paper wares, Jaime’s beautiful flat-lay photos on her Instagram account are sure to induce #FOMO and will have you rushing to order some paper goodies of your own.

We salute these ladies, for following their dreams and turning their dreams into reality! PayPal super proud to be in the company of these #ladybosses.

Happy International Women’s Day!
