Indulge Your Sweet Tooth
Got a sweet tooth? No judgement here because we love our sweet treats too. From bon-bons, macaroons, and doughnuts, to cakes, eclairs, cupcakes and more, they are impossible to resist!

The good news for us is that over the last couple of years, online bakeries and confectionaries have sprung up allowing us to get our sweet fix from the comfort of home or our offices (perfect for when you need a little motivation).

And even if you are trying to cut down on your intake of sugar, baked goods make for lovely gifts and are a great alternative to traditional flowers.

We’ve rounded up a list of our favorite bakeries and confectioneries that offer online ordering services so you can bookmark these for your next treat.

Founded in 1985, Temptation Cakes is a homegrown French heritage bakery that makes magic with sliced cakes, macaroons, customized cakes, all things chocolate, scones even daily freshly baked bread.

Helmed by passionate chef and baker Jeffrey Galistan who perfected his craft in Paris, the bakery prides itself on having the best-kept recipe of exquisite French pastries that has gained the support and satisfied the sweet tooth of generations of Singaporeans. Their signature Chocolate Etoile is a must-try for those who enjoy some velvety bittersweet Belgium chocolate!

Chyn Nyonya is a family-owned business that started in 1993. You may think that they sell Nyonya delicacies but the name is a way to bind the founders to their father’s business.

On their website, you can order from a series of “packs”, including the wedding pack, full month pack or party/hi-tea pack.

If you love old-school type cakes, then you should check out their “popular” pack which sells a variety of cakes including Pandan Sponge cake, Marble Sponge Cake, Coffee Walnut, and even a traditional cake set!
And if you’re looking for something really traditional to bring to a Full Moon party, why not order their “Traditional” Full Month pack which includes assorted Ang Ku Kueh? Your host will be very impressed!

The name Pulse was inspired by the musical genre trip hop, in particular a song called Teardrops by Massive Attack. The mood of the song inspired everything from the look of the brand, to the line of cakes they offer.

Pulse offers a variety of sweet treats from puff and macaron towers, customized cakes and cupcakes, and our personal favorite – a range of order-ready cakes inspired by the women of Pulse. The Debra cake sounds delicious with its layers of Mirabelle Plum Mousse and Spiced Poached Williams Pear. Or you could try the Virgin – a sweet vanilla mousse with a tart Raspberry center for a cheeky surprise.

Started by Celebrity Pastry Chef, Daniel Tay, The Cat & The Fiddle is a cheesecake lover’s dream come true. While they have the classics such as New York Cheesecake and Oreo Cookies and Cream, you will be surprised at the flavors they offer. The surprising flavors include Yuan Yang, Mao Shan Wang Durian, and Lemon & Yuzu.

The Cat & The Fiddle go beyond just selling delicious cheesecakes, they also support stray cats through the Cat Welfare Society, and children in need through the Children’s Aid Society among other causes.

If you frequent cafes such as One Man coffee, you would have come across Edith Patisserie’s yummy sweet treats. Started by bakers Shaun and Ethel, their cakes are delicious while being low in sugar - perfect for those watching their weight or cutting down on sugar!

What we love about Edith Patisserie is the amazing flavors their cakes come in. They stock flavors such as Black Sesame, Horlicks, Gula Melaka, Milo, Pandan Coconut and even Thai Milk Tea! These unique local flavors make them perfect additions to office birthday parties or for when overseas guests come to town, or are special enough for the person in your life who doesn’t like traditional chocolate cakes.

And that is not all, you can also order treats such as donuts, cupcakes and blondies for a unique surprise.

Started by a serious foodie, the Ugly Cake Shop is a bakery café and online cake shop that bakes delicious, artisanal cakes which don’t use any artificial coloring and flavors, fondant or gum paste – hence calling themselves ‘ugly’. They believe in creating beautiful balanced cakes which are less sweet, with more natural ingredient that are better for our bodies.

What’s so beautiful about these ‘ugly’ cakes is that with every slice sold, part of their profits goes towards feeding the undernourished kids in Timor-Leste! Since 2014, funds are channeled to the nutrition fund of Shalom School, a school set up by Brazilian missionaries and supported by Agape Baptist Church in Singapore. Now we have one more reason to indulge in sweet treats from the Ugly Cake Shop, don’t we?

Pronounced “Cake-Com-Boosh”, this online patisserie’s name is quite a mouthful, but we promise their range of delectable cakes, cupcakes and pastries are your answer for any special occasion. The chefs at Cakequembouche specialize in bespoke customized cakes, creative cupcakes and even printed cakes that are loved by kids and adults alike.
