Many online small-medium businesses (SMB’s) are riding on the global e-commerce wave that has helped them navigate past the challenges of the pandemic, as revealed in PayPal’s latest survey of online SMB’s in Singapore. In an interview with Money FM 89.3, Rakesh Krishnamuti, Director of Enterprise Sales, PayPal, cited the experience of Sova Silk, that had struggled to establish a physical retail presence due to COVID-19 restrictions. Through partnering with PayPal, it found success online and has scaled beyond Singapore to capture customers in Malaysia, Australia, UK and the US. Rakesh also offered three tips for SMB’s to succeed in e-commerce - Localize, Socialize and Optimize.
