V Chandramouliswaran (Mouli), Vice President - Data and Site Leader, PayPal India, recently participated in a panel discussion at MachineCon 2024, hosted by Analytics India Magazine on 28th June 2024, in Bangalore.
Speaking at the panel discussion on the topic “GCCs in BFSI: Navigating the Future of Financial Services”, Mouli shared insights on PayPal’s strategic shift in India from an execution center to an innovation hub, highlighting that the India centre stands second for PayPal globally on the number of patents filed and granted. He also talked about the importance of fostering a culture of innovation through strategic hiring and providing structure and freedom to tech talent. “It is so important for us as GCCs to think away from cost, and to think about value instead,” said Mouli.
Discussing the role of AI in enhancing customer experiences, Mouli also spoke about the importance of personalization and proactive problem-solving. Other speakers on the panel include Amar Karvir, Global Capability Center Lead at Open Banking at Finicity (a Mastercard Company); Saurabh Chandra, Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG); and Sameer Goyal, Senior Director and Head of Engineering at Acuity Knowledge Partners.
