Community Action, Development, Liberative and Education

PayPal employees have the opportunity to serve the needs of the communities in which they live and work through the company’s Community Impact Program. It is an important aspect of our culture that enables us to drive positive, lasting impact towards our mission to advance inclusive economies by harnessing and deploying the unique skills and time of our employees.

The Community Impact Teams help foster strong relationships between PayPal offices and our local communities through volunteering, grantmaking and other activities.

Each year, PayPal’s 41 employee-led Community Impact Teams around the world nominate local nonprofits to receive grants of up to US$20,000. Recently, more than 75 nonprofits were chosen to receive grants through the program. The nonprofits were voted on by members of our global workforce and support our priority areas of impact, including economic empowerment, financial health, environmental sustainability and social justice.
